For five years, Leslie Jones rocked Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2019. She was known for her high-energy delivery and larger-than-life personality, as well as her impressions of celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey. Jones brought a unique perspective to the show, using her experiences as a Black woman to comment on issues such as racism and sexism. Since then, she has appeared in Ghostbusters, Coming 2 America, and she is also beloved on social media for her witty takes on pop culture and politics.

Sasheer Zamata was a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 2014 to 2017. She was the first Black woman to be hired as a cast member since Maya Rudolph left the show in 2007. During her time on the show, Zamata was known for her impressions of celebrities such as Rihanna and Michelle Obama, as well as her original characters, including vlogger Janelle and insecure teenager Kyra. She left the show in 2017. Since then, Zamata has appeared in a number of television shows and films, including I Feel Pretty and Hulu's Woke.
