Tales From the Hood (1995)

Produced by Spike Lee, Tales From the Hood is a satirical (yet still completely terrifying) take on Tales From the Crypt. The movie is a series of five vignettes, revolving around socially relevant themes such as child abuse, racism and Black on Black crime. Tales From the Hood quickly became an urban classic, grossing nearly $12 million, but left many wondering what's more scary, real life or art?
