Marques Houston - Cast as dance crew leader Elgin, the singer and former member of child R&B trio Immature, added edge and innocence to the starring role. Since 2003, Marques Houston has steadily maintained a stellar singing career, releasing his last LP, Famous, in 2013. His presence in Hollywood has primarily been in street-dance films, including Boogietown (2010) and Battlefield America (2012). In 2016, Houston moved behind the camera to write and produce two films, Boy, Bye and A Weekend With the Family. Omarion - Former B2K member Omarion landed the role of David, who co-heads the dance troupe with Houston. Shortly before Chris Brown landed as R&B's dance king, Omarion briefly had the title, as he embarked on his solo career. Quietly, he still releases LPs, including Ollusions (2010) and the upcoming Love & Other Drugs. His other acting credits include Wrong Side of Town and the horror film franchise Somebody Help Me. In 2014, he joined the Love & Hip Hop franchise with his main squeeze Apryl Jones. J-Boog - Playing the part of dancer Rico was J-Boog. Most fans know him from his stint with B2K and as Marques Houston's cousin.
