Ciara and Future - Celebrity de-coupling has been a tabloid sport for decades, but with the advent of social media, dragging your ex in public has never been easier. Our list of messiest celebrity splits kicks off with Ciara and Future. The couple got engaged in October 2013, and a few months later had a son together. In August 2014, however, the called off their engagement and it's been messy ever since. Since then, the "Run Up" MC has lashed out at CiCi on social media, claiming she keeps their son from seeing him, and even took jabs at her character. Mashonda and Swizz Beatz - Back in 1998, singer Mashonda began dating producer Swizz Beatz, and five years later they tied the knot. After two years of marriage, in 2006, they had their son, Kaseem David Dean, Jr., after suffering a miscarriage with their first child. Four years into their marriage, however, they announced their separation and officially divorced in May 2010. After their split, the producer moved on to R&B singer Alicia Keys, with many speculating he was involved with her while still with Mashonda. Even his ex-wife accused her of being a home wrecker at one point, writing a nasty open letter to the "No One" singer, blaming her for having a part in destroying their marriage.(Photo: Paul Hawthorne/Getty Images)

Sherri Shepherd and Lamar Sally - Former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd thought she found her prince charming when she married TV writer Lamar Sally in August 2011, but things got complicated when the couple started searching for a surrogate. In May 2014, Lamar filed for separation and Sherri filed for divorce days later. Things got even more complicated when Lamar petitioned an LA court for full legal and physical custody of their unborn child via surrogacy, born in August 2014. Since the child has none of the actress's DNA, she told a judge she believes Lamar tricked her to secure a child support check, and requested a plea to avoid paying child support. It was fully denied and she's required to pay monthly payments of $4,600 to her ex-husband.(Photo: Donna Ward/Getty Images)

Tasha Smith and Keith Douglas - This may be the messiest of them all. Actress Tasha Smith ended her marriage to her then-husband Keith Douglas in 2015 after learning he was a fraud, and the court believed her. She was granted a surprise annulment on the grounds of fraud after the court found he was still married to two other women while simultaneously married to Tasha. He also lied about how many children he had, wasn't a pastor as he claimed he was, and hadn't paid taxes in years.(Photo: Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images)

Columbus Short and Karrine Steffans - Former Scandal star Columbus Short surprised many when he married Karrine "Superhead" Steffans at the top of 2016. Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson - Many thought Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson's marriage was a match made in WNBA heaven, but those hopes all went out the window when a paternity dispute came into the picture. Griner filed for an annulment a month after they got married in May 2015, with Johnson announcing she was pregnant hours later. Griner wanted no part of it, saying she was coerced into the entire thing, and wasn't aware that Johnson had the embryos transferred to her uterus.(Photos from Left: Darrell Walker/Icon SMI/Corbis, Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

Big Sean and Naya Rivera - Big Sean and Naya Rivera were engaged to be married but ended things in 2014. The rapper issued a boilerplate statement saying it was amicable, but Naya wasn't having it. She accused him, via Twitter, of stealing her Rolex, and he retaliated with releasing "IDFWU." They've since moved on to new relationships — Naya married fellow actor Ryan Dorsey and had her first child, and Sean moved on to other ladies — before things got even messier.  (Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images for Dell)

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose - This couple's marriage went up in smoke barely a year after they took their vows. While we're still not sure exactly what caused their separation — infidelity was suspected — rumors started flying that the rapper cheated on his model wife, and racy pics of him with twins popped up on the 'Gram. A custody war over their son also played out for the world to see on social media. Thankfully, however, the two seem to have found a way to peacefully co-parent. Rob Kardashian and Rita Ora - These two never confirmed their relationship, but that didn't stop Kardashian from blasting her in a string of defamatory tweets after their short-lived romance turned to dust. “She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together,” he said. Ora got the sweetest revenge: she continued to deny that they were ever in a serious relationship. Now, Rob is with Blac Chyna.(Photos from left: Denise Truscello/WireImage, Fred Duval/Getty Images)

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo - News of this couple's demise came as a huge surprise, but nobody was more surprised than Sparks herself. "He helped me with my bag to the car, he kissed me, he told me he loved me... then didn't call!" she recounted. As for Derulo's version, he says the "intense pressure" to get married is what lead him to bounce. Sparks got over the breakup by "listening to a lot of Drake," and blasted her ex on a remix of Drizzy's "How Bout Now," delivered online, of course, via her mixtape, Bye Felicia.  (Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images for MTV)

Blac Chyna and Tyga - You know it's bad when your ex and baby daddy moves on with a 17-year-old. We can hardly blame Chyna for repeatedly putting the rapper on blast after he fell for her best friend's little sister, Kylie Jenner. She blew up Tyga's spot when he she posted a chain of text messages to Instagram, detailing his efforts to win her back. Now, Chyna seems to be over it, and has officially moved on to Kylie's brother, Rob. (Photo: Denise Truscello/WireImage)

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather - The Money Team took a hit when Fiddy and Floyd hurled insults at each other online for the better part of last year, including the rapper challenging the champ to a reading competition (ouch). But the G-Unit front man declared recently that all is forgotten and forgiven. "My younger brother happens to be the best fighter in the world. He can make $200 million in 36 minutes," said 50, "How do you tell him what to do? You don’t."  (Photo: Larry Busacca/Getty Images for The Weinstein Company)

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries - One of the shortest celebrity marriages on record seemed doomed from the moment they said, "I do" — on camera. The reality star filed for divorce, citing the old standby “irreconcilable differences,” after just 72 days as man and wife. Humphries demanded an annulment based on fraud and even subpoenaed KUWTK producers, Kris Jenner, and Kanye West to prove that the marriage was a sham for ratings. He sealed it recently with an awkward tweet in response to former father-in-law Bruce Jenner's reveal that he is transgender. "Glad I got out when I did," Humphries wrote. Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran - Breezy and his former lady are in the celebrity breakup Hall of Fame. After going 'round and 'round several times — each airing their dirty laundry for their collective millions of social media followers — "Breueche" finally called it quits in 2015 via a tweet from Tran (and the bit of hope that remains came afterward via her televised interview on Fix My Life).
