Bye, Hater! - As the years have gone by, being publicly homophobic has become less tolerable. Unfortunately, some celebs have still failed to get the memo, making insulting remarks targeted towards the LGBT community. While some of their intentions may have been misconstrued, from Chris Brown to Azealia Banks, here is a list of big names who have been labeled homophobic at one point throughout their careers.— By Moriba Cummings (Photo: Chelsea Lauren/Getty Images for NYLON)

Azealia Banks - Azealia Banks, the rapper who considers herself a member of the LGBT community, has been known to not practice what she preaches as she spends a lot of her time lashing out at LGBT-identifying fans on Twitter. In 2015, the MC compared the gay community to a terrorist group, saying, "LGBT community (GGGG) are like the gay white KKKs. Get them some pink hoods and unicorns and let them rally down rodeo drive." Since then, she's deleted the tweet. From that to constantly calling her targets "fa****s" in her Twitter rants, she clearly suffers from LGBT-phobia.(Photo: Lionel Urman/Splash News)

Chris Brown - Chris Brown is no stranger to controversy, but it was still a bit of a surprise to some that he allegedly backed out of a performance during 2015 Atlanta Gay Pride because he refused to perform for a group of LGBT-identifying fans. While the event’s organizer, Melissa Scott of Traxx Girls, claims that Breezy’s absence was strictly due to his lack of support for the gay crowd, the singer says otherwise. In a lengthy rant posted to Instagram, he said, “Bulls**t. I was never booked… Some of my friends have [come] out to me and I love them just the same.” Who do you believe?(Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images for Clear Channel)

Cast of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood - Milan Christopher, the newest addition to the ratchet TV fave Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, put some of the show’s stars on front street after he claimed that several of the rappers featured refused to film with him because he is gay. A TMZ report stated that several of the “rappers” on the show were upset not because Christopher was gay, but rather because he has “no cred” or “rap game.”(Photo: Jesse Grant/Getty Images for VH1)

NeNe Leakes - Real Housewives of Atlanta breakout star NeNe Leakes has become notorious for adopting — some would even say gay-baiting — popular LGBT slang, but that didn’t stop her from slamming Brandon DeShazer, a gay man. During an episode of the notorious fight between DeShazer and the now incarcerated Apollo Nida, Leakes referred to DeShazer as a “queen,” prompting many to believe that her true colors were beginning to show. In a blog post, the reality star quickly denied the reports, writing, “Did I hear someone say I was ‘gay bashing’ because I called Brandon a queen?” before attempting to justify her words by mentioning Bravo’s fashion-focused series Fashion Queens, starring who she described as “two very out gay men.”(Photo: Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images for NYFW: The Shows)

Fantasia - Powerhouse vocalist Fantasia Barrino came under fire in 2013 when she posted a comment to her Instagram account that offended her gay fans. Beneath a photo of her striking a dancer’s pose, she went on a mini-rant criticizing her haters, before saying, “Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!!!” After her fans, many of who are LGBT-identifying, sounded off on her hurtful words, she clarified that her words were taken out of context. “The gay community is one of my largest supporters,” she said. “I support the gay community as they support me.” She then blamed the blogs for misinterpreting her words.(Photo: Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS)

Busta Rhymes - Hip-hop star Busta Rhymes took things way too far when he verbally attacked an employee at a burger joint. While on a fast food run at around 6 a.m., the MC demanded that he skip the line to get his burger, but when the employee told him to wait in line like everyone else, he called the delivery driver a "f*g" repeatedly. Stevie Wonder - When Frank Ocean opened up about falling in love with another man in 2012, many seemed to have an opinion of his statement, and one of these people happened to be music legend Stevie Wonder. The singer told UK paper The Guardian, "I think honestly, some people who think they're gay, they're confused." After receiving massive backlash for his insensitive words, he apologized and said, "Love is love, between a man and a woman, a woman and a man, a woman and a woman and a man and a man."(Photo: Alberto E. Lauryn Hill - Ms. Lauryn Hill is all about the music, even when her lyrics tend to offend. Back in 2013, the Grammy-winning singer took to Tumblr to defend some anti-gay lyrics she penned in her track "Neurotic Society" where she lists reasons why she believes society is crumbling around her. In the song, she labels LGBT members several offensive terms like, "girl men" and even stereotyped them as "drag queens." Further defending the lyrics, she said, "Everyone has a right to their own beliefs."(Photo: Theo Wargo/Getty Images for CBGB)

Evander Holyfield - Stevie Wonder said that gay people are "confused" and, along the same lines, famed fighter Evander Holyfield said that being gay is a "handicap" that can be "fixed." Okay... Well, though he never did any damage control, his son tried to do it for him, saying that his dad is the most caring person you will ever meet and is "very loving." Alright.(Photo: Kevin C.
