Kenan Thompson Gets the Party Started in New Film

Kenan Thompson will be the latest Saturday Night Live cast member to do a film helmed by SNL’s longtime executive producer, Lorne Michaels.

Deadline.com confirms that Thompson will star in Party Starters, a comedy about the “sort of entertainer guy who gets the old people up to dance at weddings and keeps the party rolling.”

Though this is Thompson’s first SNL-generated film, he is no stranger to leading roles. Thompson was the premiere star of Nickelodeon’s All That and its spin-off, Kenan & Kel, co-starred with Kel Mitchell in the movie Good Burger and played the title role in the film adaptation of Fat Albert.
