Tyra Sanchez arrested in Georgia.
Tyra Sanchez, from Ru Paul’s Drag Race, was arrested Tuesday night on a marijuana charge in Gwinnet County, Gerogia.
Sanchez, whose real name is James William Ross IV, was a passenger in a car that was stopped for having illegal window tinting, according to a police report obtained by the press.
According to Access Atlanta, the police officer who stopped the car said he smelled raw marijuana and searched the vehicle. The 23-year-old Atlanta native was charged with marijuana possession and booked into the county jail. He posted bond and was released the following afternoon, jail records show.
The driver of the 2005 Chevrolet Impala was also arrested and charged with marijuana possession and a windshield violation. He posted bond and was released from jail Wednesday night.
Ross is best known as the winner of the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race and he recently released his viral hit "Look at Me."
