The moment the Internet has been memeing for has arrived.
Drake’s fourth studio LP, VIEWS is officially here. Making its debut on a special episode of the rapper’s OVO Sound radio show on Beats 1, the 20-track project features singles “One Dance,” and “Pop Style,” and well as previously leaked songs “Controlla” and “Faithful.” Kanye West, Jay Z, Rihanna, Future, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Pimp C, dvsn, and Popcaan make guest appearance. Production on the album is handled by usual suspects Noah “40” Shebib and Boi-1da, go-to beatsmiths Metro Boomin and Vinylz, as well as Toronto natives nineteen85 and Maneesh.
Ahead of the album’s premiere, Drake was set to sit down with fellow Beats 1 host Zane Lowe to discuss his latest effort.
Back in February, Shebib revealed that VIEWS was a tale of two cities: his and Drake’s native Toronto and their new locale, Los Angeles. While in the thick of finalizing the lengthy project, the producer described taking influences from both environments.
"For us it's just a balance of finding that space to make such a project that's based around our city and then coming out here to the West Coast to escape some of the harsh winter and find a good creative space, so it'll be a balance of like both those locations," he said.
Drizzy also posted a special "thank you" message to Shebib before dropping VIEWS, expressing his appreciation for helping to craft an album they're "obssessed" with:
If consistency is the name of Drake’s game, VIEWS will make a notable first week debut on the charts. Spin his latest album on Apple Music here.
