Budden isn’t one to hold back on sharing his opinions, and Drizzy’s newest project, Views, has really got him talking.
Posting clips of a conversation airing on his podcast, Budden passionately argues with his co-host, sharing that he doesn’t think Drake has been progressing as an artist, especially not at the same rate that his producer 40 has been.
"For a n***a that is crowned king of introspection... what has he told you different from Take Care to this album?" Budden said. “It's the same thing told not as dope as you already f**king told me."
"I think that that kid on that album that I heard sounds real f**king uninspired," he continued. "That music sounds good and I enjoy it... 40 you sound amazing. 40 continues to progress; Drake, you do not... I miss the Drake that starts the waves, not hops on other waves. I miss the Drake that pushes the f**king agenda."
Meanwhile, today (May 4) Drake was announced as one of the top five wealthiest hip-hop artists by Forbes magazine, so he might be a little too distracted swimming in his success to throw together a rebuttal.
