Federal Documents Reveal Details About a Gang Threat to Rick Ross

He received the threats after using a gang symbol in his mixtape cover.

Last week, a gang, comprised of almost 50 alleged members, was indicted by the federal government. As reported, the indictment proves that Rick Ross was the one who received online gang threats back in 2012.

Ross was the target of a series of threats that came by way of a YouTube video, claiming that the rapper needed to pay the Gangster Disciples for the use of their name and symbols. The video threat came after Ross used a six-pointed star on the cover of his Black Bar Mitzvah mixtape.

As you can see for yourself here, four gang members have been accused of threatening the rapper four years ago. The threats were rumored to be of a very serious manner back in 2012, with many fans believing them to be the real reason Ross canceled his Maybach Music Group Tour. Ross cited poor promotion as the officially reason for the tour not moving forward.

A year later, in 2013, the rapper then found himself the victim of an attempted assassination during a drive-by shooting.

While the new evidence does not directly connect these specific events with the gang’s threats, one thing is for certain: the threats against Ross were as real as they get.
