Safaree Issues Statement After Nicki Minaj's Twitter Rant

“Safaree will not continue in any more social media feuds."

Late last night (May 10) Nicki Minaj went all the way off on Twitter about her ex Safaree Samuels. According to Minaj, Samuels is unable to move on after their breakup and is taking the matter to court.

Minaj took to Twitter to vent about the situation, claiming that after their 12-year relationship, Samuels is now claiming that she emotionally and physically abused him.

After some silence on Samuels’s end, his rep got in touch with Complex, issuing a statement that read, “Initially things were being handled privately behind the scenes but it was taken to social media and unfortunately its now being played out in the public eye which could easily be interpreted as a cry for attention.”

“Safaree will not continue in any more social media feuds and at this time we are unable to comment or provide any details pertaining to the current legal proceedings that are taking place with Safaree Samuels and Nicki Minaj,” the statement continued. “We are confident that things will be both favorable and amicable for all parties.”

While Minaj has been publicly dating Meek Mill for over a year now, it appears as though bad blood still runs thick between her and Samuels. During her Twitter rant, Minaj also mentioned that Samuels is looking to “put a show on for the media,” hinting toward the rumors that he may be joining the cast for the upcoming third season of Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood.

Whether it’s a cry for attention or not, Minaj has made it clear she’s not here for games.

“Whatever isn't rightfully yours will become a curse once u have it,” the rapper concluded in her late night Twitter rant. “The money u leaches win in lawsuits will never bless u. It will curse u.”

Looks like we’ll all have to stay tuned for further developments.
