Slim Thug Has Some Life Lessons for Troy Ave

He wants other young rappers to listen up as well.

Troy Ave was arrested and charged for attempted murder last week for his involvement in a shootout at T.I.'s Irving Plaza show in NYC, where Ronald "B$B Banga" McPhatter was killed and several others wounded. Plenty of people from the hip hop community have taken to social media to chime in on the tragedy, but Slim Thug has some words aimed directly at Troy, and other young rappers who might valorize him for his behavior.
“You new n****s ain’t that smart, man. You new n****s be doin’ a lot of dumb s**t,” he began in a video posted on Instagram that has since been deleted. Thug goes on to blast Troy for bringing a loaded gun to a venue packed with people. “This not Belly. You can’t just walk in there and chop it up and get away, it ain’t real. Wake up young n****s, y’all too dumb. Get out the dumb s**t and do some smart s**t,” he added.

A few hours after Slim's video started making rounds online, he decided to soften his rhetoric toward Troy, who clearly has enough problems right now.

Thugga isn't wrong about young rappers getting locked up — or worse — for no good reason (just look at what's going down with Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 crew) but a scan through his mentions makes it clear that the young folks ain't here for his daddy lessons.
