Vic Mensa Was Kicked Off an Airplane After Trying to Help a Depressed Fan

The airline also responded.

A lot of young people look up to Vic Mensa, and that’s why, from time to time, he interacts with fans apart from the stage.

The Chicago rapper’s birthday weekend just passed, and even though he looked like he was having fun at the numerous stops he made (one of which he spent with Jay Z and Beyonce), it all ended on a sour note.

Mensa was reportedly kicked off a United Airlines flight after he was found using his cellphone to make a call. This prompted him to take to Twitter to tell his side of the story.

"THX @united FOR KICKING ME OFF MY FLIGHT FOR TALKING TO A DEPRESSED FAN WHO NEEDED HELP ON THE PHONE," he wrote in a now-deleted tweet. He then called for his fans to tweet at the airline company with the hashtag “#F**KUNITEDAIRLINES.” This prompted United to tweet back at Vic asking for details of what happened on his flight.

Over the weekend, Vic Mensa was slated to perform at day three at Governors Ball, however since it was canceled due to weather, he set up a rain check performance with Ty Dolla $ign later on. Afterward he appeared at 40/40 Club with Jay, Bey and Save Money affiliate Chance The Rapper.
