Beyoncé Raised a Pretty Penny for the Flint Water Crisis

United Way shares its gratitude to Beyoncé and the #BeyHive.

Beyoncé is once again showcasing how pure of heart she is. This time, the superstar delivered on the charitable promise she made earlier this year, during the Super Bowl, to help those in need through her music.

As reported, her #BeyGood initiative has raised over $82K to help the Flint water crisis in Michigan.

United Way shared the news today (June 13), posting a photo of the organizers holding an oversized check representing the donation collected by the singer and the #BeyHive alike.

In addition to the money raised as part of her fundraiser to help build stronger communities, Bey’s generosity also extended free tickets to her Formation World Tour to students at Cody High School in Detroit.

Beyoncé created the #BeyGood campaign in conjunction with her Formation World Tour, using the 23-city tour as a vehicle to help raise donations and giving ticket buyers the option to donate and enter a random drawing for seat upgrades.
