Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla $ign Urge Hip-Hop to Change Its Views on the LGBT Community

Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla $ign urge hip-hop to change its views.

Hip-hop culture has long had an issue in addressing its past transgressions with homophobia. Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla $ign want to change that.

After the heinous shooting that killed 49 people and injured 53 more at a gay nightclub in Orlando over the weekend, the two musicians want their own profession to take a long look at itself and make some adjustments.

"The Hip Hop community is the least outspoken about gay rights and Ima go out my way to change that," Cudi tweeted, which Ty later co-signed. "I wish there was more I could do than tweet, build awareness and donate money. That's not enough." He also asked all of his homophobic followers to unfollow him.

Kid Cudi seemed to be getting a good response from his series of tweets as he himself said that the support has been overwhelming. Check out what he had to say in full below.
