Drake Is Getting Closer to Breaking Another Eminem Chart Record

He continues to put numbers on the board.

Bad news for Drake, the sales of his most recent album Views decreased by 10 percent. That’s OK though, because the LP’s still No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart after seven straight weeks.

The Toronto rapper staved off the growing sales of Nick Jonas’s new project and hip-hop musical Hamilton’s soundtrack for the top spot. In fact, it wasn’t even close as Drizzy sold 121,000 equivalent album units, almost doubling Jonas’s 66,000. 74,000 of the units counted were of the streaming variety.

The seven-week feat is one short of Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP, which remained on top for eight straight weeks. Earlier this month, Drake broke the consecutive week sales records of Josh Groban and Michael Bublé.
