On the heels of releasing a freestyle bringing to light some of the rumors surrounding the infamously drawn-out divorce of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, the couple stepped out as a happy family to celebrate Father’s Day yesterday (June 19).

Cannon’s freestyle, titled “Divorce Papers,” discusses some of the behind-the-scenes drama between the two, such as the claim that he’s been denied the rights to see his two children. Carey was a bit confused by that allegation, responding that she didn’t take the song well at all given the fact that Cannon has been allowed to see his children while the pair work out their differences.

The couple was able to set aside the drama brought on by their divorce, a process that has been ongoing for nearly two years, in order to spend some quality time together as a family this weekend.

“Leaving the haters in the wind!” Cannon captioned a family photo. “LOL They want us to be mad so bad! But we happier than happy! #HappyFathersDay.”

According to sources, Cannon and his lawyers are the ones who are delaying the divorce from being finalized, with a custody agreement and a property settlement reportedly being drawn up over a year ago. Regardless of what’s actually been going on, it’s nice to see the family having some fun amid the chaos. 

Cannon, Carey and their son and daughter went to Sky Zone and from the looks of it, had an absolute blast together. Cannon also made sure to give Carey the proper photo credit on Instagram, in case anyone was wondering how the two have been getting along.
