Future hopped on Instagram last night (June 23) and decided to make an announcement. Just in time to tuck your summer in, the Atlanta rapper revealed the title of his new mixtape. Esco Terrestrial, which will be hosted by his longtime partner DJ Esco, also saw its cover art divulged as Future Hendrix posted it on the social media site.
It’s unclear whether the full tape will be entirely new songs and who will be featured on it. Our bet is that it’ll be more slanted toward his own FreeBandz crew.
The last time Future dropped a project was in February with EVOL. He also released Purple Reign a month earlier. Future dropped two solo mixtapes (Beast Mode and 56 Nights), one collaborative mixtape (What a Time to Be Alive with Drake) and one studio album (Dirty Sprite 2) in 2015.
Future also tweeted about Esco Terrestrial, “It's bout time..secure the summer,” he wrote. “Ion no how they gone take this new sh*t, I may b a lil toooo disrespectful on. Dis 1...f**k it YALL DESERVE IT.”
