J. Cole is a humble guy. You can hear it in his lyrics, during the interviews he does and in the way that he carries himself in general. His likability as a person helps make it a no-brainer to become a fan of his music and his message also.
For a recent example of Cole keeping it real, some passengers taking the public city bus in Queens yesterday were in for quite the surprise when they realized J. Cole was riding along with them.
As captured on Instagram, the rapper chose to take public transportation despite all of his successes in his music endeavors.
“He sold over 1 million records and has well over a million dollars in his band,” the fan who captured the moment shared. “But he understands our struggle, from which he came. The game hasn’t changed him.”
The fan went on to discuss how even people who aren’t rich wouldn’t ride public transportation, further making him a very special artist.
“J. Cole is a one of a kind artist,” the fan continued. “We may never see an artist for the people like this again.”
