Taylor Swift Now Reportedly Claims Kanye West Committed a Felony
Taylor Swift is still angry and still not giving up on her fight with Kanye West.
According to TMZ, sources close to the country singer say she still may file a police report claiming ‘Ye committed a felony.
We reported yesterday (July 19) that Swift doesn’t have legal grounds to sue West due to California’s law, which reads that if one knows they’re being overheard during a phone conversation, they consent to being recorded even if they don’t know or verbally provide consent.
Taylor Swift claims she had “no idea” ‘Ye had her on speaker during their conversation about whether he could use certain lyrics about her for his controversial song “Famous,” and although she admits to hearing other voices, she says she assumed those people couldn’t hear her part of the conversation. She also believes Kanye had a legal obligation to ask permission to record her and since he didn’t, he should pay in court.
Swift is reportedly still deciding whether to file a police report. The source also says Taylor is ready to battle and wants the full tape of their hour-long conversation to come out. She claims there’s more to it than what Kim Kardashian posted on Snapchat.
Taylor's description of the law may be reasonable, but it isn’t what it reads. No charges have yet been filed.
