Method Man Exits Social Media After a Photo of His Wife Surfaces Online

He's serious about protecting her.

When it comes to hip hop Method Man is rambunctious and just about as open as one can be, but when it comes to his private life, we don’t know nearly as much.

The Wu-Tang Clan emcee is serious about protecting the identity of his family. So much so, that he called out a blog for posting a picture of his wife yesterday (June 26) and asked that they take the photo down.

“I’ll ask again could u Please take it down, if u [have] any decency in u. Please!,” Meth asked on Twitter to Farrah Gray, a site promoting a self-proclaimed “Celebrity Entrepreneur” and “God-Made Millionaire.” Apparently the website either didn’t get the message initially or ignored Meth’s plea, because shortly after that, he became a lot more assertive and decided to leave social media all together because of the rare photo.

“I guess follows n likes are more important than tastefulness and decency.. Smh,” he said during a series of now-deleted tweets, then added, “I’m done with social media until further notice… I’ve lost faith in human decency and I will not feed the trolls any longer. F**k u all.” Farrah Gray eventually did take down the post, but it seems it's too late.

Method Man’s been very protective of his wife over the years. In 2006, he told Rolling Stone in an interview that he was displeased with Wendy Williams making light of his wife’s battle with breast cancer on-air and hoped that she’s “aware of exactly what it felt like to be sitting in that hospital room, watching them pump this poison into the one you love.”
