Kanye West Threw Some Major Shade at Taylor Swift During a Surprise Performance

Drake brought him out and he brought out the jokes.

The Kanye West and Taylor Swift beef is far from over.

Evidence of that popped up at Drake’s Summer 16 concert last night (July 27) in Chicago where ‘Ye popped out and surprised fans by joining the Toronto rapper on stage. A hometown appearance was far from the only reason those in attendance got their money’s worth.

Like all shows involving Kanye, the Grammy winner decided to take a little time out during his set, speak to fans and, of course, throw out fair doses of shade. Swift was at the receiving end.

“All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat,” he yelled out to an appropriate screaming reaction. “Cause now y’all can know the truth. And can’t nobody talk s**t about ‘Ye no more!!” He then launched into a rendition of “Famous” to bring the ether full circle.

Kanye is of course referring to Kim Kardashian’s Snapchat reveal of a recorded conversation between West and Taylor Swift during which she seems to give him permission to use the lines that would ultimately end up on his song “Famous.” Swift had previously claimed that she gave no such consent, which led to Yeezy looking greasy for a hot second.

The country singer would subsequently threaten with a lawsuit and even the contacting of law enforcement, however no charges or suit have been brought. This is largely due to the fact that Swift likely doesn’t have a case because in California, it’s nearly impossible to sue for an invasion of privacy if you know you’re being overheard. Other people, including producer Rick Rubin, are heard in the background talking, which proves the conversation wasn’t exclusively between the two even if ‘Ye didn’t tell her she was being recorded.
