Bankroll Fresh's Uncle Blasts DJ Vlad for Interviewing His Alleged Killer

"So are y’all finished or are y’all done?"

Earlier this year, up-and-coming rapper Bankroll Fresh was reported dead after a shooting that took place at a studio in Atlanta. He was 28 years old.

Despite the ongoing investigation’s best efforts, a suspect has yet to be named. In a recent interview with DJ Vlad, one of Fresh’s childhood friends, No Plug, spoke candidly about the situation, confessing his involvement in the rapper’s murder and how he was cleared in the matter. Needless to say, things got a little awkward during their chat.

Fresh’s uncle has come forward to express his absolute disgust with Vlad’s decision to interview his nephew’s killer, saying he was attempting to capitalize on his nephew’s tragic death instead of trying to help break the truth.

In an open letter to VladTV, he discusses the lack of integrity the media outlet showcased in the matter and how, all in all, DJ Vlad is a “culture vulture” with an overall disregard for the urban community he claims he represents so hard.

"You disrespectful culture vulture," the letter begins. "I offered you to talk to my family (Bankroll Fresh’s family) when my nephew was first killed. Did you call us or reached out to the Street Money Worldwide family or his father and mother to get a rebuttal to No Plug’s story? None of that!"

The letter then continues, outing DJ Vlad's decision to turn down the other interview opportunities offered to him and alleging that Vlad "passed" because the other sides to the story didn't showcase enough Black-on-Black crime and were too "positive."

"Sitting there smiling and talking about how he love my family," the letter continues. "Where was the remorse with all that chuckling? And then the story he was telling you was straight bulls**t with more holes in it than the police’s reasons for killing Alton Sterling."

"You’re an poor excuse for an journalist, if we can even call you one," Fresh's uncle adds in the letter.
