YG And DJ Mustard Are Reuniting, and It Feels So Good

A new project is already in the works.

YG and DJ Mustard actually squashed their beef a minute ago, however it was recent enough that Mustard didn’t make his partners now critically acclaimed June album, Still Brazy.

No sweat though, because the rapper/producer combo’s making a comeback in a big way. The two took to Twitter yesterday evening (August 10) and announced their newest collaborative project 400 Summers.

“400 SUMMERS MIXTAPE COMING ..... Wasn't pose to give it away but f**k it  @YG,” Mustard tweeted. “400 SUMMERS TAPE KOMIN SOON ON BOMPTON,” YG followed up just two hours later.

No release date is yet known publicly for the mixtape, however the title suggests that it’ll find its way online at some point this summer. YG and DJ Mustard’s mixtapes are what propelled them to success in the rap game as their Just Re’d Up series generated a lot of buzz for them early on. This all culminated in YG’s seminal debut album, My Krazy Life, which escalated him to being one of West Coast hip hop’s top dogs.

BET spoke with YG in June about his then forthcoming Still Brazy album. Read that interview here and check out the duo’s tweets about their most recent project below.
