Fans Are Petitioning for This Rapper to Perform at the Super Bowl

Give the people what they want!

With Adele herself shutting down the rumors she has been slated to perform at the next Super Bowl, the conversation immediately has shifted to fans wondering who will follow up Beyoncé’s incredible performance during last year’s annual affair.

The 2017 Super Bowl will take place in Houston on February 5, 2017, and so far no official performers have been announced. According to the NFL, they have yet to make a “formal offer” to anyone for next year’s halftime show.

Naturally, Twitter users are weighing in and have their eyes set on one particular artist — Kanye West.

As the hashtag #KanyeWestForSuperBowl51 continues to trend online, users are citing all sorts of reasons why the rapper would make for an excellent choice to headline the highly coveted halftime show.

As Adele pointed out, the halftime show experience is one where people want to see an incredible performance, and could arguably care less about the music itself.

We all know Kanye West would indisputably put on the kind of show that the millions tuning in would want to see, but he may take things to an extreme the NFL may not be ready to embrace. Yet then again, the Super Bowl halftime show is reputed for playing host to bold moments throughout its 50-year history, so it really could be a perfect pairing.

Check out the reasons why some Twitter users think ‘Ye is exactly what the next halftime show needs in the tweets below.
