Kardashian was jolted this past Sunday (October 2), after reportedly being robbed at gunpoint while in her temporary home in Paris. As the horrific details continue to surface, it appears as though the investigation has yet to find who the culprits are. According to the reports, $10 million in jewels was stolen from the reality star.
Amongst the chaos in Paris, Usher recently spoke up on the situation, sharing that he is also staying at the location of Kardashian’s tragic incident, the No Address Hotel (L’Hotel de Pourtales). Other famous frequenters of the hotel include Leonardo DiCaprio, Madonna, Jay Z and Beyoncé.
"I feel more secure than ever, absolutely [safe]," the 37-year-old singer shared with reporters.
In addition to talking about the hotel and his belief it is a safe environment, Usher also spoke on the unfortunate incident Kardashian endured.
“[Gun crime] like that happens all the time,” the singer added. “In America, people get robbed everywhere, man. Unfortunately, it does maybe take a celebrity to shine a light on unfortunate situations.”
While Usher may be somewhat unfazed by what happened, West is taking the situation’s seriousness very much to heart and has canceled his tour dates temporarily to be by his wife’s side.
Hopefully the investigation surrounding Kardashian’s recent robbery clears up exactly what happened so it can be prevented in the future.
