Miguel Almost Gave a Promoter in San Diego a Beatdown
Miguel and a club promoter had a bit of a miscommunication on Wednesday (October 5), and one that escalated quickly.
As reported, the singer had to be held back while arguing with the owner of San Diego's Side Bar club, after the club owner insisted Miguel perform a song for those in attendance.
The disagreement occurred because Miguel was in the building based on what he understood to be just an appearance. The club owner admitted that the signed written contract didn't mention a live performance (which likely would have resulted in an entirely different paycheck for the singer), but that the two had a "verbal agreement."
According to the report, Miguel kept saying that he never agreed to sing, but the pushy club owner persistently tried to persuade him to share his talents.
Needless to say, things didn't go over too well, prompting the singer to attempt to get physical after the club owner wouldn't get out of his face.
