Jay Z Has Reached Peak Dad and the Internet Somehow Is Offended

How though?

Jay Z has really come a long way.

Even though he’s been a father for a few years now, the images coming out on social media and through the tabloids are starting to show him more and more on daddy duty — and also how much he enjoys the role.

Remember, this is the same guy who continued on the legacy of mafioso rap with Reasonable Doubt and became one of hip-hop’s most storied drug dealer rappers. It’s a past Fox News still loves to point out (as if it has any effect on anything). But from all appearances, it seems Hov’s moved to that introspective time in life as an emcee, when you realize your career is more than just about you.

Take Halloween this year for example. Jay participated in dressing up in numerous costumes on multiple days. But this figurative line in the sand has Twitter torn, and we’re not sure why. You’d think mega success would be a good enough excuse to part from your past ways or even your prior music, right?

Well, some can’t fathom that. Luckily, reasonable Twitter made itself available for a few takes we’re all here for.

“People clowning Jay Z for dressing as a doll for Halloween aren't use to seeing men being fathers and doing whatever to see their kid smile,” one user wrote. “Men's reaction to Jay-Z's transformation to a husband and father are actually kinda terrifying,” another tweeted. “It's like they've never seen anyone grow up.”

What do you think? Should Jay Z cease being a dad in the public light or is it time to embrace the daddy life full throttle? Let us know in the comment section and check out what some people had to say below.
