Kid Cudi Says He Is Living Proof We Can Overcome Obstacles

He makes a triumphant return to the stage.

Last night, Kid Cudi made a triumphant return to the stage after voluntarily checking himself into rehab (November 5).

Over the course of the past month, his ongoing beef with Drake and Kanye West, as well as his decision to seek professional help to deal with anxiety, depression and suicidal urges, has sparked a series of important conversations discussing mental health in the Black community.

Kid Cudi's return from rehab straight back to the stage marks a new chapter for the artist, who hopefully will continue to inspire others to be open to seeking treatment when needed and hopefully will help keep the conversations surrounding mental health going.

For Cudder's performance at ComplexCon, taking place at the Long Beach Convention Center, he ran through a series of his hits, including, "Pursuit of Happiness," as well as his newer singles "Frequencies" and "Surfin'", which are both included on his forthcoming album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'.

"Listen, I miss every single one of you, I love every single one of you," he said during his performance. "I know life is crazy, (but) we can make it through. I am living proof!"

The 32-year-old also brought out Pharrell and Travis Scott to share the stage with him during his first performance since checking himself into rehab, making for both a memorable evening and an important milestone for the rapper.

Check out some footage of Kid Cudi back in action in the clips below.
