Last night (Nov. 19), before abruptly walking off stage, West went on a rant about Beyoncé, Jay Z and Hillary Clinton, just a day after sharing the shocking admission that if he voted, he would have voted for Donald Trump. As fans scratch their heads and wonder where the #OldKanye is hiding, one rapper has boldly come forward to try to get through to West.
In a series of tweets, Talib Kweli has made an attempt to reach out the Ye, pleading for him to "come home."
"Feelings don't matter fam," he began. "Facts matter. Real n****s still got love for you. But our ppl dying out here. Never Trump."
From there, Kweli addressed the rapper's latest rant, during which he asked for Jay Z to call him so the two could discuss West's grievances "like men."
"The same way you want Jay to reach out to you, u should reach out to real n****s," he continued. "Cuz someone ain't keeping it real w u fam."
Kweli then pointed out that his fans love him and that West is everything he says he is, which is why it makes it that much harder for fans to back his latest political statement.
"A genius, an icon. U added greatness to my life. But lifting Trump up kills us. Come home," the rapper added.
Hopefully Kweli approaching the situation with both caution and respect will allow him to get through to Ye before he damages his reputation beyond repair.
