In Celebration of His Birthday Today, Raekwon Details New Studio Album
Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon has taken to social media to share he's been busy cooking up his next album, a project he refers to as his "seventh masterpiece."
In celebration of his 47th birthday today (Jan. 12), the legendary emcee made the announcement regarding his new music, revealing both the cover art and release date for his forthcoming solo album.
As announced, The Wild will be released on March 10, and will be Raekwon's first solo project since 2015's Fly International Luxurious Art.
"This LP is filled with a lot of excitement," Raekwon wrote on Instagram. "Blood sweat and tears. This project was designed for the culture of rap to know ain't a [damn] thing change since the beginning of my career."
He also wrote that the album art was done by illustrator Dan Lish before going on to welcome all criticism of his latest work, adding, "I never hate on opinions..trusss. Thanks to the fans, I'm still throwing my darts with integrity."
