Chance the Rapper Posts a Message of Support After His Brother Comes Out

Family first.

After Chance the Rapper’s younger brother, Taylor Bennett, opened up about his bisexuality on Wednesday (Jan. 18), such a valiant step forward to selfhood called for celebration leading into his 21st birthday.

And helping bring him into a new year, a new age and a new sense of self was none other than Chance, who reminded everyone that when it comes to his family, you want zero problems.

Posting a video to his Twitter, we see the entire Bennett clan, including Chance, his adorable baby girl, Kensli, Taylor, and their father, Ken Bennett, as they help the now 21-year-old rejoice his born day.

“This is my family right here,” Chance says to the camera before the family prepares to dig into the birthday cake. “I will kill somebody over these people. Don’t play with me. Don’t play with my family. That boy 21!”

In the caption for the video, the Coloring Book rapper also reminds everyone of his undying love and support for his little bro through it all.

“Love this man right here, through any and all,” Chance wrote. “He has grown into a great man. He's got God and me behind him. He cannot fail, he cannot fall.”

Chance’s passion for family-orientation is something he’s carried along with him through his rap career stride as well. After the birth of baby Kensli, the 23-year-old shared photos of his daddy duty moments with her, complete with tear-jerking messages of how greatly she’s influenced him as a father and individual. And since his girlfriend -- Kensli’s mother, Kirsten Corley — has recently thrown out her legal petition for a parenting schedule, it looks like Chance will continue to keep his bloodline tight-knit from here on out.

Check out the birthday celebration in the video below.
