Hip-Hop Says Their Last Farewell to Obama

Kendrick Lamar, John Legend and more give their best.

Social media this week held a somber tone, with celebrities and musicians alike collectively taking a deep breath to face the reality that President Obama's final term has finally come to an end.

Taking to Twitter, artists such as Kendrick Lamar and John Legend gave Obama and his family their well wishes, while also reflecting on how he truly made history over the course of the past eight years.

"We really gonna miss you champ," Lamar posted on Twitter. "The good you've done and opportunity's you've given. Truly never know what we got til its done. Thank u."

Many artists shared similar sentiments, taking to social media to reflect and give Obama the proper send-off he more than deserves.

John Legend also came forward to express his gratitude on Twitter, utilizing the trending hashtag #ThankYouObamas.

"I'm proud to know you," the musician writes. "Proud to have supported you. Thank you for your wisdom, grace and service to your country."
