#ThatWasTrashRemy: The Internet Weighs In on Remy Ma's Second Diss Track
In what appeared to undeniably be true Drake fashion, Remy Ma powered up another diss track for Nicki Minaj following the open fire she launched last week with “shETHER.”
Titled “Another One,” Rem unleashed the track with the momentum of the Nas-sampled record still breathing, a record that sent the internet completely haywire and added some new members to the Remy Mafia.
But by way of Twitter’s No. 1 trending topic on Thursday (March 2), the follow-up track didn’t blow over too well with the internet after all.
Fueled by Nicki’s complete disregard and refusal to respond to the social media-breaking “shETHER” track, the Bronx-native fires more shots at Nicki’s Instagram activity, failure to clap back in a 48-hour time frame, and alleged skeletons that Rem has dug up from undisclosed sources.
“I bet you wish that you ain't never said sh**/ Now they so busy shooting videos and I’m like, ‘Nah’,” Remy raps over the track. “Where the f**k is your song? I mean come on/ You know the pub want some bars, I’m Remy Ma.”
Though shorter than the scathing seven-minute diss track from February, much of social media felt Rem took a downward plunge from her own throne with “Another One.” In fact, the most exciting part of the track’s release may have been the cover artwork, so social media deems, in which Remy snatched one of Nicki’s recent unbothered Instagram photos and created a murder scene out of it. Aside from that, it looks like right along with their short-lived praise for the “Conceited” rapper, fans have also tossed away the second track into the unmentionables pile.
