The SUV Notorious B.I.G. Was Shot in Is Up for Sale

The whip is going for a pretty penny.

If you've ever wondered what happened to the SUV involved in the fatal shoot out, killing rapper the Notorious B.I.G., here's your answer, as TMZ is reporting that the vehicle is currently up for sale.

The 1997 GMC Suburban hasn't been in storage collecting dust all these years. In fact, for the last two decades, the SUV has been driven around by a family who had no idea their ride was a piece of hip hop iconography.

The owners, who reside in L.A., told the site they bought the vehicle in October 1997 from a broker who purchased it at an auction. They were completely oblivious to its history until 2005 when an LAPD detective called them regarding the wrongful death trial, informing them of what happened.

The condition of the car has been upgraded since the infamous crime scene photo, showcasing the bullet-riddled door, which has since been replaced.

The only scar remaining on the SUV, which now has 114,000 miles, is a single bullet hole in the front passenger seat belt, which was a result of Biggie being shot while sitting in that very seat in March 1997.

The 1997 GMC Suburban is being sold through Momentsintime.com — the same place the BMW in which Tupac was murdered — for a whopping $1.5 million.
