Wale Officially Calls a Truce With Meek Mill

(MMG) man to (MMG) man...

As with most hip-hop record labels, the triple-threat heavyweights of Maybach Music Group have had their differences in the past.

However, after Wale and Meek Mill have kept respective distances from one another ever since a spat stemming from 2014, the D.C.-bred rapper has buried the beef and is back to the business with his fellow MMG emcee.

Taking to Twitter early on Thursday (March 9), Wale tweeted up his 140-character treaty with Meek in the name of label family and good old rap music.

“F**k the other sh**,” he wrote. “Family is family. I had a good time vibing with squad [Meek Mill] last night. The BS behind us. We back our hip-hop this summer.”

The “BS” he’s laying to rest is assumingly shots fired between the two via Twitter grounds. According to Meek, Wale’s lack of support for his Dreams Worth More Than Money album, which was ironically the same catalyst that sparked his falling out with Drake, rubbed him the wrong way. A following Breakfast Club interview where Wale weighed in on his beef with Drizzy unfortunately only made matters worse.

Aside from their MMG collaborative “Make It Work” single with label boss Rick Ross, the two had steered noticeably clear of each other. And with Meek being especially gracious with features on the Billboard-honorary Dreams Worth More Than Money and recent DC4 albums, the absence of his label mate was indicative that the two were likely still on the outs. Hopefully, the rejoining of forces between both men will prove itself fruitful for Wale’s forthcoming The Shine tour kicking off May 5 in Atlanta.
