Drake's Vocal Impersonation of John Legend Is Actually Pretty Good

He may be giving Johnny a run for his money.

As evidenced by Drake’s top-ranked sophomore album Take Care and fan favorite R&B singles like “Find Your Love,” the Young Money rap icon can croon a tune just as surely as he can spit a rhyme.

And to further prove his earned seat in the R&B circle, Drizzy gave his concert fans a tease at what his vocals can also do over some of R&B’s most time-honored classics, such as John Legend’s “Ordinary People.”

Sharing a story with his European fans while on the Boy Meets World tour, the Champagne Papi recalled his experience while visiting an unnamed restaurant, where he says the food was terrible, but the musical ambiance was the total opposite.

“I used to get up there every night, and I used to sing John Legend songs. Y’all know who John Legend is?” he roused the crowd before breaking into his own brief rendition of the 10-time Grammy Award-winning R&B and soul artist’s “Ordinary People.”

While he continues his international tour, a preview of his crooning skills might be the least of the surprises, as guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Young Thug and Travis Scott have also successfully assisted in amping up his global crowdgoers. But with Drizzy’s frequent R&B collaborations and heavily anticipated More Life soon upon us with a new release date of March 18, there’s a good chance fans will probably be graced with more vocals from the OVO head in 2017 even after he wraps up on the stage.
