Fabolous and Jadakiss Thrill Fans With 'Freddy vs. Jason' Live Preview

The LOX dicer versus the Brooklyn slicer.

It’s been a long time coming for New York’s reverenced rap veterans Fabolous and Jadakiss, but their collaborative effort, Freddy vs. Jason, is nearing us.

Now, with a live preview of what to expect from the joint project, the ante has officially been upped for its official arrival, Vibe reports.

Sharing a stage at Florida’s Club Revolution in Fort Lauderdale, Fab and Jada rounded up two of the forthcoming album’s singles, “Wicked” and the Tory Lanez-assisted “Rapture.”

Afterward, the two broke into their own respective rap lanes with solo hits from Fab like “Cuffing Season” and Top 5 Dead or Alive tracks from Jada. The show, presented by 710 Ent and the Marc Franklin Group, sold out with anticipatory fans waiting on another reveal of when to expect Freddy vs. Jason. Thus far on their promo trail for the project, the riveting cover artwork, likened to the actual horror film characters who inspired the album’s title, a trailer and a few foreboding words from the Summertime Shootout rap star himself have been the only teases available for fans. There’s still a few touches to be finished on the project before making its way to speakers near you though.

“We just take our time because we want it to be right because of the magnitude of the project means for hip-hop and New York City hip-hop,” Fab said in his Complex interview. “Also, we have samples that need to be cleared. Even the licensing thing with using the names Freddy and Jason.”

Relive the project's dangerously anticipatory trailer below.
