Missy Elliott's Epic Comeback Includes Her First U.S. Concert in Almost a Decade

We're not worthy.

Missy Elliott has been slowly but surely working her way back into the spotlight.

As she continues to roll out what many are hopeful will be a full-on comeback, the iconic recording artist has just hit fans with arguably her best news in recent memory.

Yup, this is not a drill: Missy Elliott will be returning to her rightful place on the stage this summer, marking her first time performing solo since 2008.

The performance, which is in conjunction with the 2017 FYF Fest, is reported to feature Elliott performing by herself, a sure-to-be lituation that hasn't happened in almost a decade. Are we even worthy?!

Her most recent return to the stage was in 2015, when she joined Katy Perry as a guest during the pop singer's Super Bowl halftime show, where she performed three of her most celebrated classics "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It" and "Lose Control."

Other acts slated for the annual summer festival, which will take place in Los Angeles July 21-23, include Björk, Frank OceanSolangeA Tribe Called Quest and more.

While the festival headlining gig is currently Elliott's only scheduled concert in 2017, something tells us the rapper and producer may have more surprises up her sleeve as this year continues to unfold.
