T.I. Believes Tupac May Have Taken On a New Challenge For This Era…

Pac for President?

During his short 25 years of life, hip-hop’s tokened voice of the streets Tupac Shakur was many things: a legendary rap artist, a social revolutionary, a mastered songwriter and poet, a catalyst to spark the brain that would change the world and then some.

Let the King of the South and Atlanta raptivist T.I. tell it, the Pac-of-all-trades might have even landed as a politician during this era as well.

Tip, who honored the late and great Tupac for his induction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, recently spoke about what might have become of the West Coast icon if he were still alive today while singing praise to his diverse intellect, Billboard reports.

“Anything could have happened with 'Pac, man,” Tip said. “Just his diverse intellect, and the way he thought outside the box could have led him anywhere in life. He may have gotten into politics by now. Who knows?"

Given the political undertone of many Pac hits such as “Brenda’s Got a Baby,” “Changes” and “Ghetto Gospel,” T.I.’s sentiments aren’t far off at all. Not to mention that Pac was exalted as the street’s politician for his elevated knowledge in socio-political perplexities and government affairs, topics often visited in interviews before his 1996 death.

The Us or Else rapper added that, as for his own voice in an official politician role, he’d rather use his platform and influence elsewhere.

“I'm not a politician,” he said. “I'm not a politician. If I can use my influence for the best for someone else, who I feel is deserving, I would do that, but I am not a politician," he said. "I'm too motivated."

Tune into the official airing of the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony when it premieres April 29 on HBO.
