If There Ever Was a Perfect Aaliyah and Beyoncé Song Mashup, This Is It

Truly one in a million.

The short 22 years of R&B fallen angel Aaliyah’s life left not only devastation and heartbreak, but much curiosity as to where her blossoming career might have landed her.

Thanks to one sound genius, we now have somewhat of an idea as to where her vocals and sound might have gloriously joined forces with fellow R&B songstress Beyoncé.

Posted via Twitter, the user gave us all a listen to a remix of Aaliyah’s 1996 chart-topping “One in a Million” that includes Bey’s vocals from her Lemonade track “All Night.” Bey’s bridge from the track falls in right before Aaliyah’s chorus hits. As it closes out, the chorus of “One in a Million” concludes the track accompanied by another set of Bey’s melodious high notes.

The idea of both ladies on a track is the furthest thing from far-fetched considering their close relationship prior to Aaliyah’s death. In 2016, Bey paid tribute to the late songstress with a #FlashbackFriday post of their sisterly encounter on the 2000 MTV Movie Awards red carpet. Prior to that, her 2014 throwback post of the ladies together commemorated Aaliyah’s birthday as well.

What do you say, Bey? A possible posthumous remix for old time’s sake?

Listen to the mashup below.
