Nas, Young M.A. and Dave East Kick Off Summer Concert Season In NYC

Pandora Sounds Like You: NYC is happening July 19.

It's officially the first day of summer, which in NYC means the streets are alive with the sound of live music coming from every stadium, park and concert venue. One major standout on this season's concert scene is Pandora Sounds Like You: NYC. Taking place July 19 at Brooklyn Steel, the music streaming service is bringing together New York's finest MCs and one legendary DJ for the can't-miss event.
Nas is headlining the show, joined by new rap sensations Young M.A. and Dave East. Biz Markie will be on the ones and twos.

“This event is a natural extension of the Sounds Like You campaign which was created to highlight the hyper personal music experience on Pandora. And on July 19, Pandora will sound like New York City, its artists and fans,” said Jeff Zuchowski, vice president of artist marketing at Pandora. “We are honored to work with Nas, an iconic New York City voice with over a billion spins on Pandora. We’re also excited to welcome Young M.A  who drew great crowds at Pandora’s SXSW activation, Dave East, whose weekly station adds are largely from fans in New York City, and New York’s own legendary Biz Markie. The popularity of these artists and their music on Pandora is a true testament to the power of hip-hop.”

You can can RSVP for the show HERE starting today, and get yourself in that New York state of mind by listening to the Pandora Sounds Like You: NYC mixtape exclusively curated by Mass Appeal starting July 12.
Sounds lit.
