Here's the One Unlikely Person Being Blamed for the Beef Between Jay-Z and Kanye West...
The words no one ever thought they’d speak are now buzzing through the hip-hop grapevine: Jay-Z and Kanye West are on the outs.
After Jay’s confirmation of the trouble in brotherhood paradise on his 4:44 album, sources are uncovering ‘Ye’s wife and social media star Kim Kardashian’s name right in the middle of the tiff.
As rhymed in Jay’s “Kill Jay Z” single of his triumphant 13th studio album, Jay did happen to be within earshot of Kanye’s Saint Pablo Tour rant in Sacramento, and he’s not fond of it.
‘Ye took to the stage to call out Hov and Beyonce, pleading with the Roc Nation leader not to send any “killers” his way. The likely solution would be for the two longtime friends and business partners to ring each other up and hash it out over a man-to-man conversation, or so we’d expect. But according to sources at Page Six, the issue is rooted much deeper than that, and has more to do with Kim K’s relationship, or lack thereof, with the Queen Bey.
“[Kanye’s] rant was really about Kim and Beyoncé not being BFFs,” the source allegedly shared with Page Six. “Kanye is frustrated that his wife does not have a better relationship with Beyoncé. He wanted to put that pressure on Jay. It’s like, ‘We’re cool and we do business together, and now our wives should be friends?’”
It’s no secret that the Queen Bey is very selective of who she allows in her circle, and prides herself on family first. So the sources following statement would make much sense and is fundamentally chucked up to the fact that Bey and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians cast member are just two different types of women.
“It’s not organic. It’s not real,” the source added. “Beyoncé is a Southern, God-fearing woman, despite what you may see when she’s entertaining. She may not have much in common with Kim.”
While one source believes the issue may be too large of a storm for Hov and Yeezy’s brotherhood to withstand, another source believes that the problem will eventually solve itself.
“Their relationship is familial,” the other source allegedly stated. “I’d be very surprised if they didn’t work together or have some kind of relationship in the future.”
The hope now is that the Watch the Throne artists’ relationship doesn’t come tumbling down once it’s all said and done.
