Usher Refuses to Settle With His Herpes Accusers

Never back down.

Usher is not backing down. A total of four people have reportedly filed lawsuits against the mega star, accusing him of either infecting them or exposing them to genital herpes. But despite the overwhelming public humiliation and scrutiny, Usher is reportedly refusing to settle with his accusers.

According to sources close to TMZ, the Confessions artist and his legal team have carefully assessed the cost benefits of continuing to fight the cases in court or settling the matter quickly and quietly. But Usher reportedly has no interest in caving and paying any of his accusers one penny, TMZ reports.

Although Usher’s medical history first came to light after legal documents were discovered that suggested he paid a woman $1.1 million as a payout for infecting her with the STD virus, sources are now stating that the singer has not settled with anyone. And following further analysis, many experts have begun to question the validity of the legal documents, which were first published on Radar Online.

Three women and one man are behind the current suits filed against Usher. Each case alleges the “Let It Burn” singer engaged in sexual activity with each of them without informing them of his medical condition. Usher has not made a public statement addressing the allegations, but sources close to him have stated that he is innocent and doesn’t even have genital herpes. Insiders have also denied his involvement with accuser Quantasia Sharpton, claiming that she “isn’t his type.”

Not only is Usher not coughing up the settlement money, but members of the singer’s camp also claim he’s gearing up to sue each and every one of his accusers. So we'll just have to see who gets the last laugh.
