Lil Uzi Vert Has Some Words For All The 'Old N***as'

Umm, OK, Uzi...

Lil Uzi Vert has commonly been the center of conversations about the new era of hip-hop, but now the rookie is flipping the script. The rapper hopped on Instagram Live on Aug. 15 to denounce the “old n***as” who have been criticizing his swag and way of living.

To say the least, Lil Uzi isn’t really a fan of the old heads in the game. “All the old n***as, ya’ll stuck because ya’ll be pillow talking. How do I know ya'll be pillow talking? Who you talk to when you on the pillow? A b***h,” he yelled into the camera as fan comments rolled in. “Ya’ll n***as keep on talking to these h*es. ‘Oh my God, he’s on drugs. Your b***h on drugs too right with me.”

The “XO Tour Lif3” rapper continued his rant by claiming the rap vets were “washed up” and just didn’t like him because of his public image. “I know no old n***as on here because due to the fact I got dye in my hair and face tats and piercings and s**t. And I go spend my money on ice,” he added. He finished the live video by urging them to leave him alone and focus on investing their money, an idea Jay-Z recommended on his 13th studio album, 4:44. “Go on and invest your time in some stock. Ya’ll investing time in these stocks, and all I’m doing is buying chains and s**t,” he concluded.

Lil Uzi clearly doesn’t have love for his “old n***as,” but he did mention that he doesn’t have a problem with the new cats on the scene. He apparently doesn’t even have a problem with Kodak Black, who previously dissed Uzi on an Instagram Live feed. "What do I think about Kodak? That's one of my classmates on XXL. I f*ck with Kodak. What? Because he was rapping and he said that? I fu*ck with Kodak, though. That ain't nothing,” he said. He also added that comments like Kodak’s don’t bother him because he’s getting money. “I ain't poor. If I was poor that would've gotten to me,” he said.

The rapper doesn’t care about the cosign of older artists, but he likely fueled the discussion about how new artists have a lack of respect for their history and the pioneers who paved the way for them.
