In her first-ever 2018 interview, Young Money’s crowned raptress Nicki Minaj sat down with Zane Lowe on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio to catch up on all things Nicki that the Barbs have been missing for the past four months.

Nicki lit Barbie Twitter on fire with the premiere of her two new singles, “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” reveals about her upcoming album that fans are already certain is on the way, and a phone call from her Young Money Cash Money captains Birdman and Lil Wayne. When Lowe shifted the conversation to one of the steamies, fan-ignited topics in femcee hip-hop, Nicki versus Cardi B, she acknowledged something that brought her to tears.

“Shout out to Cardi, Ms. Banks, Maliibu Miitch, Kash Doll, Asian Doll and the other girls out there that show me love,” she began. “They’re doing their thing.”

However, the “MotorSport” collaboration with Migos and the Bronx femcee brought forth some true colors. For starters, the rumor that Nicki was blindsided by Cardi’s feature on the track checked out false. She even has text messages from Quavo to prove it, she said, revealing that Quavo previewed the track with her, asked her to appear as a guest, and later texted her to ask if Cardi could also hold a guest spot. Nicki conceded, but when the music video came about, which helped spur rumors of tension between Nicki and Cardi, more buzz sprung about supporting a supposed anti-Cardi stance from Nicki.

She reached out to Quavo amid the controversy, asking him to defend her with the truth. Sadly, Quavo refused, stating that he’d only speak out on it publicly if “she was his girl,” the head Barb said. Afterward, Cardi’s interview where she claimed Nicki switched up her verse (rumored to have happened after she’d heard Cardi’s verse) drove the the nail in even deeper.

Nicki was unfortunately brought to tears while sharing the story, revealing that it was the one thing Cardi did that hurt her feelings. She still congratulated Cardi and revealed that, as of late, she believes the Invasion of Privacy femcee is genuine above all.

But now that the Barbz have heard their queen's side of the story, they're bringing torches for everyone who hopped on the anti-Nicki parade in the past few months.
