TLC - TLC barely profited from their monstrous success. After amassing a debt of $3.5 million, the group filed for bankruptcy in 1995, citing poor royalties and a breach of contract by Pebbles Reid, their former manager. Word is some of the debt had to do with Left Eye's insurance payments for burning the house of former boyfriend Andre Rison.

A New Beginning - After dealing with all the legal business, TLC signed with Laface Records and began working on a third album Fan Mail. During this time, personal issues came about between the members. Left Eye began missing rehearsals and interviews and sent LaFace Records a letter stating that she wanted to leave TLC.

Fan Mail - TLC eventually settled their beef and released Fan Mail in 1999.  After completing the FanMail tour, TLC took some time off to pursue personal interests.

Supernova - Left Eye began recording her solo album titled Supernova. It was scheduled for release on a date to coincide with the 10th anniversary of her father's passing. Supernova was delayed for two months before her label chose to shelve the project. The album was released overseas.
