Chart Topper - Despite new competition, the veteran still remained atop the charts. Selling approximately 298,000 copies in its second week, Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint 3” remained at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Top 200, outselling debut releases from KiD CuDi (“Man on the Moon: The End Of Day”) and Drake (“So Far Gone EP”), which landed at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.

Eminem - The Detroit lyricist leads the pack of Grammy nominees with 10 nods. They include Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for "Recovery," Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Collabo for "Love the Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna, and Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance for "Not Afraid".

A Bigger Cut - Eminem's music publisher wants a bigger slice from Apple. Eight Mile Style LLC and a co-plaintiff, Martin Affiliated LLC, are suing Apple Inc., claiming they never authorized the use of 93 songs in a downloadable format on Apple's popular iTunes service.

Good Girl - Attracting criticism from the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, Beyonce promised to tone down her stage show for her performance during her October concert in Malaysia. The group even wants authorities to scrap the October 25 show because it’ll be promoting “Western sexy performances.”

The Final Show - The first public screenings of the documentary, “This Is It,” opened late Thursday afternoon in the courtyard outside the Nokia Theatre at the L.A. Live complex in downtown Los Angeles. The film features a behind-the-scenes look at Jackson preparing for the series of London shows he was rehearsing for before he died June 25.

Lawsuit - Christian Casey LLC, the company that runs Puff’s Sean John clothing line, has filed a $2.5 lawsuit against its landlord in New York City. Sean John reportedly leased part of a ground floor building on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for its flagship store. According to the suit, the building’s owners set up a sidewalk scaffolding in 2006 and have yet to remove it—causing the store’s business to drop by close to 50%.

DMX Sued for Backing Out of Boxing Match - Legal troubles continue to mount for DMX .  Hew was sued for breach of contract and fraud for breaking an agreement to fight in a celebrity boxing match. The Comeback - Though DMX didn’t confirm when he’d actually return to hip-hop, he stated on the red carpet of VH1’s 6th Annual Hip Hop Honors, “I’ve always been grounded. But I’m hungrier. There’s so much bullsh– out there. I’m not gonna get into the names. You know who you are. There’s so much bullsh– out there. The streets won’t let me forget that they need me and I need them.”
