Lawsuit - Christian Casey LLC, the company that runs Puff’s Sean John clothing line, has filed a $2.5 lawsuit against its landlord in New York City. Sean John reportedly leased part of a ground floor building on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for its flagship store. According to the suit, the building’s owners set up a sidewalk scaffolding in 2006 and have yet to remove it—causing the store’s business to drop by close to 50%.

King Of The List - He’s the King of New York for a reason. The New York Daily News has just put Hov atop its Hot New Yorkers list. The God MC has had an incredible year. Not Good - During NYE festivities, Bow Wow made headlines by drunk Tweeting in between attending different clubs. Bow wrote, “Im f**ked up!!! Ohhhh damn. Y i drive the lambo. Chris might have to drive after next spot.” He later apologized for the mini rant. “It was stupid and immature. Not a way i want to kick my #2010 year off. I got too much good stuff lined up. my bad.”

Critics Pick - In addition to a whopping six Grammy nominations, Maxwell’s “BLACKsummers'night” opus is being hailed as the Album of the Year by several media outlets. The project, which has sold over 1 million copies, has been well received since its July 7 release on Columbia Records. “Maxwell’s fourth album defies current R&B on all fronts,” explained Jon Pareles from the New York Times.

A Joke? - During a recent interview with Honey Magazine, Chicago MC Kid Sister, whose lyrical ability has been cosigned by Kanye West, posed the inquiry on whether or not critics take the Young Money queen seriously. “I think Nicki Minaj is awesome. She has a cute little look but my thing is do people take her seriously?” Kid Sister asked the publication.
