Lupe Fiasco vs. Atlantic Records

Lupe's beef with Atlantic began unfurling publicly as early as 2010, when he said in an interview that the label execs "didn't know if they wanted to be a record, management or a production company." He explained that they told him they wouldn't promote his records if he didn't sign a 360 deal where the record company gets 25% of any "ancillary properties" that come from your music (that's t-shirts, tour tickets, and whatever else an artist imagines to sell).
